Its Saturday, and what a day!
Good start to the day. Prayed and then went for a jog at the museum. Feeling fresh.
The day turned out to be unusual. At noon, I went to the beach, alone and bored.
The sand was hot, so I went into the water, which was refreshing.
Some film shooting was going on nearby, so I went to watch that and took a few snaps.
Took a few snaps of the beach, and the waves. Tried a new technique of photography; it was interesting. Will explain with pictures.
How to take these photographs
- Take the camera settings in your mobile.
- Turn on Self-timer
- Click the Capture button. The timer starts and will beep for 10 seconds.
- At the 9th second, throw the mobile high in the air. The photograph will be taken.
- Catch the mobile before it falls and shatters on the ground.
- Try this many times until you get a perfect photo.
As you can see, we get many unusual photographs in this manner.
Anyways, after the lonely stint at the beach, I went for a long drive on a straight stretch of
about 25 kms. It was fun, except for the fact that there was hardly any petrol, so I was
constantly thinking of contingency measures if the car stalled.
The fuel lasted till the petrol bunk so I needn't have worried.
Anyways, I was hangin' around when I got an SMS from a friend, asking for blood for some relative.
I've to mention here that 14 June is Blood Donors Day and the radio was full of programs about it. It was a coincidence that someone had to ask me for blood on the Blood Donors Day.
I decided to do it. I was nervous, this being the first time. My buddy was with me for support, and we went to the hospital. I needed to confirm my blood group, which they did pretty quickly.
The whole process of donating blood was over in less than half an hour. I was surprised to find that there was no need to be so scared. They just poke a syringe into your hand (a moment's pain), and then you lie there, squeezing a pressure ball to let the blood circulate. Six or seven minutes later, the blood bag had become full, and they removed the syringe. They gave me some biscuits and fruit juice, and asked me to rest. Ten minutes later, I was on my way back home. I was feeling slightly tired, but that's all.
I used to be scared of donating blood, thinking it will drain all my energy and that I would have to spend the whole day in bed, and stuff like that. But instead, the whole process lasted less than half an hour, and it had helped someone tremendously. I feel, if only people were more aware about this, they would come forward to donate blood.

Dont wish to dishearten u anyway ;-)
I think u got a good painter in u rather than a photographer - A good painter in the sense, one who mixes water with colors and splashes it on the wall calling it 'wall painting.' If any idea of ditching the cam, pls call me b4 u do so..
