The problem of photos

I need to solve this problem. I want to move all my photos online. That's around 30000+ photos, amounting to more than 30GB space. First of all, that much of space is too much to ask for in the online world. So for now, i need to prioritize and upload folders. I'll target around 5 GB for now. Also, i need to go through the folders and delete the unnecessary ones; believe me, there are lots.

Once i've selected the folders to be uploaded, the next step is to decide where to upload. Some of the popular options are flickr, picasaweb, photobucket etc. If i am right, they have an upload limit of around 1GB. I couldn't find the better one among flickr and picasaweb, so i'll upload to both, and maybe try some others as well, like photobucket. I like posterous but i can't think of it as a best option for uploading the snaps.

Next, i gotta figure out a way to make it easily viewable, ie, a nice online album kind of website. I have to find the right template for it. I may have to customize the template a bit to suit my requirements.

This online album is part of a much bigger portal project. More on that later.
