The Name
In the last few years, we have been toying with various names for our project management software. A number of names came up and eventually disappeared. Initially, the project started with the name ‘Daffodils’. Then someone suggested ‘One Company System’ or ‘OCS’ since this was supposed to be integrating all internal systems into one. Then it became christened as ‘Program Management Office’, popularly known as ‘PMO’ within the company now. When we decided to transform it as a global product, we wanted to go for a new name. And ‘NoveoniX’ was born. The name NoveoniX stands for ‘Novel Approach to ICONIX’. The ICONIX Process is a software development methodology on the lines of Agile development. We still haven’t finalized on the final brand name of the product but for now, it will be NoveoniX.
