Photography - a work of art

I have decided. A photograph is a piece of art. The beauty of a photograph is not measured by the photo taking ability alone. It also depends on the work done on it afterwards to enhance its beauty. I was abstaining from it all these years, mainly because I felt it as cheating. But from a different point of view, it feels right. In these days of digital photos, the usual dialogue “our photo is not as good because we didn’t do any touch-up” sounds just like an excuse. In reality, I am not that good at enhancing the photo after it is taken. That’s the truth. Something I intend to change.

Today I saw one more website with great photos. www.ffffound.com

I want to create great artwork using photography, so that will be my aim from now on, instead of being stubborn with old methods of pure photography. (Actually ‘pure photography’ does sound good J  )
